The idea of the project started in the early seventies.
it is owned by the community of Karmakol.
The project is characterized by vast, fertile lands that extend in an area of about fifteen thousand Feddan. The project is distinguished from most projects in the region by having a path and a paddle from the Nile, in addition to having a license to withdraw from the Nile water.
The project will represent, when investing a major turning point in the region, the state, and even Sudan as a whole.
